About

Joseph Wood considers himself to be a genuine Cockney, having been born within the sound of Bow Bells, London, before immigrating with his family to Yellowknife in Canada’s Far North when he was a young boy. After graduating from school, Joseph received a scholarship to The University of Alberta, Edmonton, where he completed a Bachelor of Secondary Education.

Joseph’s 30-year career in education began in Forestburg, Alberta. Teaching across a wide range of ages, and many varied subjects, including industrial arts, social sciences and mathematics, he was also a principal for over 18 years in many of the schools he taught in. Joseph has had extensive experience working with indigenous students, inspired by a childhood spent learning and playing alongside indigenous children.

With a lifelong interest in learning, Joseph is now a certified graphic arts craftsman and has more recently become a practising NLP Programmer and Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist.
